The UL-929 was fairly successful during Tri-Cities Waterfollies. Considering this was the first time the Black Beauty has seen the water since 2007.

At first, we were taking on water, making it very difficult to make plane. After a few corrections the 929 was able to make plane and run in B Main and take 2nd place. The engine was running strong but during the last lap, the 929 was dead in the water. After being towed back and taking apart the engine, it was discovered there was a hole in one of the pistons and it was decided to not run again for the weekend.

The engine has been taken to a shop for repairs. The ‘All Black All the Time, will be back for Seafair.

  1. It is great to see your boat back in the water, and I can’t wait to see what she can do. Give them all a run for there money to the checker flag.
